MP8-2 Maze and Labyrinth Game Mechanic

The point system for the Battlefield Hill consists of: number of kills, number of wounded, weapons and armor found, days survived, and overall physical appearance and state at the end of the 1 week battle period. You are awarded 10 points for every kill. 4 points for every wounded individual. 2 Points for every day survived. 1 point for every weapon or piece of armor found. And the judges decide number of points deducted for physical state. If you retrieve the ring, the point system is disregarded. Winner gets 50,000 gold

MP8-1 Maze and Labyrinth Backstory

This maze is called the Battlefield Hill. This is a warrior battlefield where 800 different individuals are selected to battle. The battle consists of fighting and doing anything they can to reach the top of the mountain, retrieve the golden ring, then return back to the safety of the cave they had started at; or until everyone is killed. This battle has a limit of 1 week long and can be very entertaining for the audience. If the ring is not gotten in this one week, the winner is decided on a certain point system. Located around the battlefield are certain weapons and armor. One must find them in order to survive this battle. Once the battle is over, the victorious man is awarded 50,000 gold. This is a very popular event, and many people wan't to get their award money.

MP7-2 Togemon drawing

Togemon is a vegetarian digimon. It has the appearance of a gigantic cactus. It can store nutrient data within its body, and can even survive for a long time in the empty desert areas. Once Togemon is angered, it is very hard to calm down and becomes very violent, which can be both a good and bad thing. He is a very good fighter, but sometimes cannot control himself. The attacks that Togemon has are: Needle spray, lightspeed jabbing, and coconut punch. He awaits in the desert areas until someone comes about and angers him. He will put them in their place and no one will get away with angering him.

MP6-3 Modern Warfare

Game Concept:

As opposed to earlier games in the Call of Duty Series, the game features modern equipment and new features, many exclusive to the multiplayer part of the game, such as "killstreaks"; killing a number of enemies without the player dying in between kills allows access to various assets including airstrikes and helicopter support. A character can be positioned in one of three stances: standing, crouching, or prone; each affecting the character's rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth. Using cover helps the player avoid enemy fire or recover health after taking significant damage. As such, there are no armor or health power ups. When the character has taken damage, the edges of the screen glow red and the character's heartbeat increases. If the character stays out of fire, the character can recover. When the character is within the blast radius of a live grenade, a marker indicates the direction of the grenade, helping the player to either flee or toss it back to the enemy.

Research and Development:

Call of Duty 4 was developed by a team of a hundred people, over the course of two years. After Call of Duty 2, the Infinity Ward team decided to move away from the World War II environment of previous games in the series. This resulted in three game concepts: Call of Duty 4: Modern WarfareCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While developing the story for Call of Duty 4, Infinity Ward chose to avoid referencing current, real-life wars, and keep the series' common theme of two opposing forces of similar strength. To enhance the realistic feel of the game, the development team attended a live-fire exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, a training facility in the California desert. This helped the developers to simulate the effects of being near an Abrams tank when it fires. The team also talked with United States Marines who were recently in combat to get a feel for the background, emotions, and attitude of Marines in combat. Veterans were also recruited to supervise motion capture sessions and the artificial design of the game.
The development team designed the online multiplayer component to be balanced and rewarding for new players while still offering something for experienced players. An early idea to implement air support (air strikes and attack helicopters) involved players fighting over special zones to access a trigger for air support against enemies. This idea was discarded because it discouraged the type of deathmatch gameplay they intended. The kill streak reward system was put in its place to encourage the improvement of player skills. Players were allowed to select weapons before matches to get accustomed to weapons more easily and minimize weapon hunting. Maps were designed primarily for deathmatch games—the developers felt such designs suited other types of gameplay as well. Map layouts were designed to minimize locations players could hide from enemy gunfire.

Ace of Diamonds

I selected the aces of the deck of playing cards, because the aces are the most used and useful cards while playing card games. They can serve different purposes, so I felt like these specific cards were of importance to playing cards. I chose to re-design the ace of diamonds because that is, to me, the best "looking" card. I like the way it is set up with the A and the diamond shape.

Cut Scenes

The item I chose is cut scenes. The game that reflects this item is the Resident Evil series. This flashes back to previous information that if valuable to the gameplay and storyline. This is the point of cut scenes and the Resident Evil series would not be the same without them. It would be pretty confusing if  cut scenes were not provided.
