Pitch

A childhood game that I've played my whole life is Capture the Flag. This game is when two teams, set up on an equally divided field, and aim to capture the other team's flag. Once you pass the field divider in the middle, the other team can tag you and you go to jail. They can only tag you once you are on their side, but if they are on your side, you can do the same to them and send them to your jail. To get someone out of jail, you must run to the jail and yell jailbreak before an opposing player tags you out. And to capture the flag, you must run and take the flag and bring it back to your side before an opposing player tags you. This may seem complicated, but it is very simple once you know exactly how to play.

To enhance this gameplay, you can add obstacles, or make the teams smaller, or even add more teams to make it way more interesting. You can make a point system for this and, lets say, play best out of 3 or 5 or something like that. Or maybe award points for however many players get out. There are many changes you could make to enhance the gameplay and make it either harder or easier to play.

There are even game modes in video games, like Call of Duty. You can play online capture the flag, where it is the same rules, but instead of getting tagged, you get shot at and you just restart on your side. You could even compare this to soccer. You can be called offsides in soccer and be sent back and the other team gets the advantage. And in soccer, you can score on a certain goal with other players defending it heavily. This really relates to Capture the Flag.

Pac Man Sandbox Game

Pac Man is classified as a sandbox game. And a sandbox game is a game where you can roam freely throughout a 'world' or level. It is basically an open world where you have to complete so called missions, or in this case, eat the circle things. In pac man, you can go which ever direction you would like, but you always just end up on the playing screen, and this represents the 'endless' world.

Rock Paper Scissor Guideline

ROCK PAPER SCISSOR

The Game of Chance

The objective of the game is to choose a "winning" hand sign and defeat your opponent

HOW TO PLAY

1) First, you must create a fist with your "playing" hand and a flat surface with your other hand

2) Next, move your fist up and down chanting "rock, paper scissor, shoot"
-every time you say a word, you must have made your fist move up, then down and each time you say one of those four words, have your fist hit your other hand and repeat until you get to "shoot"

3) Once you get to shoot, you must choose a hand gesture for either Rock, Paper, or Scissors

-For a rock, make a fist
-For paper, flatten your hand out
-For Scissor, make a peace sign pointing two fingers out

Everything is Rock Paper Scissor

The game of my choice that i feel like is similar to Rock, Paper, Scissors is Call of Duty. Call of Duty is a multiplayer shooter game. I think this is similar to Rock, Paper, Scissor (R,P,S) because Call of Duty requires a lot of luck. If you see the person before they see you, you will most likely win. It does involve a lot of skill too, just like R,P,S. R,P,S is all about luck, but you do need to understand the gameplay and what move to make and when to make it. So this is very similar to Call of Duty, but they do also have several differences like the intensity of the gameplay. R,P,S is very quick and harmless, but Call of Duty can take a long time and be very frustrating.

-Create a playing field, which is divided in half, one side for each team
-Get a flag, or some object and place it at the back of your team’s side of the field
-Each team must line up on different sides of the playing field
-Object of the game is to have your team get the other team’s flag or object and return it to your side
-But you cannot be touched by one of the opposing players while on their side because you will then be put in jail (which is next to the “flag”)
-To get someone out, you must tag them on your side of the field and they have to go to jail
